AfrodizzyActs Entertainment was started in 2010 by Natalie Stewart. Originally from Zimbabwe, having spent over ten years in the UK. Natalie worked as a performer herself for several years. Latin Dancer, Podium Dancer, Fire Performer, Stilt Walker, Mime Artist, Clown, Human Statue, Face Painter, Body Painter, Airbrush Tattoos, Angle Grinding Shows and much more!
She hit South Africa with a bang, starting off working with Madame Zingara, followed by a number of huge clients like SA's Got Talent, Rocking the Daisies, Cadburys and much more.
South Africa hadn't seen any of the whacky acts Natalie brought back from the UK and the craze took off!
In 2011 AfrodizzyActs had become so popular in the film industry that AfrodizzyCasts was born. A Casting Agency with the sole purpose of bringing real talent into one space aimed at showcasing South Africa's amazing performers. We have done some amazing TV Commercials, Movies, Short Films, TV Series over the years which we are super proud of.
In 2013 the AfrodizzyActs wardrobe had grown extensively and we decided to open a Fancy Dress Rentals Shop called AfrodizzyAttire Costume Hire. Based in Muizenberg. This business has since grown considerably, we do rentals to the public as well as the film industry. We custom print and make a huge amount of outfits, and have an amazing collection aimed for Festival Wear too!
We have also recently started two separate businesses:- Proper Props & Mascots South Africa which are mostly aimed at the Film Industry, however we do custom builds for the public as well. Our team has made a huge range of mascots and props over the years and we look forward to continuing with this in the coming years.
In 2016 we started dabbling in the Event Decor side of things and this is now a fairly large portion of our business. With all of these creatives working within our business it was a natural transition into decor. We have done some beautiful decor set ups over the years, which we are extremely proud of. We cover all the bases, Furniture Hiring, Draping, Lighting, Backdrops, Custom Photobooths, Custom Made Centre Pieces, Flower Arrangements, as well as Sound, Staging, Lighting and LED Screens!
During Covid we really struggled to keep afloat so hustled what we could! We started making masks of course but then swiftly moved into fabric printing. We set up an entirely new business called Jukan Clothing SA where we custom print and make absolutely anything. We also set up CMT Southern Suburbs and have an entire sewing business inside our building. We can print & make anything from cushions, to bedding, carpets, clothing of any kind, caps etc. We do sublimation printing, DTF Printing, Screen Printing, Embroidery and more!
Shady Business SA was started in 2022 after learning so much with the sublimation printing side of things, we started printing custom shade systems for events. We have made some really wonderful creations over the years and these are available for rent or sale. Clients can choose the design, size etc.
The most wonderful part of all of our businesses within the business is that they all interlink really well. Working in the events industry in South Africa means the more we do, the more we learn, the more capable we are.
